Bickering Couples

Is there anything more uncomfortable than listening to a bickering couple? Today I helped a couple pick out some Christmas presents. They were perfectly nice to me, but they were awful to each other. I desperately wanted to leave them to their fighting, but they kept turning to me and nicely asking for my help.

The answer to your question is, yes, there are things more uncomfortable, like fingernails on a chalkboard and the squealing of the brake calipers when the car brakes are worn out. I know lots of bickering couples. Are bickering couples rare in your store?

Usually they have the decency to argue in the corner, far away from me. Being stuck in the middle of the arguement, not being able to escape, getting dragged into it...... Not fun.
